Last Therapy yesterday!

Yesterday was a huge landmark for Serenity – it was her last “therapeutic” clinic visit! She’ll still have to go in and have her blood checked every month for a couple years, but yesterday she had her last lumbar puncture, her last intrathecal and intravenous chemo!!!

We had a fun time at the clinic, the nurses (who ROCK!) threw a little party for her and everyone was congratulating her on her last therapy. The best part was we purposely scheduled it to be the day after she turned four – so her late birthday preset was being able to go off therapy.

Here’s the video of our day at the clinic, we hope you enjoy it! (click the video to go to a larger image)

In case you missed it or want to watch it again, here’s her first cancer video:

We’ll write more soon – have to post and run right now but wanted to share this with everyone as soon as possible….we’ve got a BIG party to plan that YOU are invited to!

  4. Phil (and Adria),

This video is so moving. I have been with you guys from the very beginning of Serenity’s (and your!) battle. I’ve read every blog entry and used to frequently post messages from a different email account. I want you to know that although I haven’t posted as much (if at all) over the last year or so, I have prayed for all of you almost daily and you have weighed heavily on my heart. From one mother to another, Adria, I admire you so much for the strength and determination you’ve shown thru this whole ordeal. You are an inspiration to me. I cannot begin to imagine the roller coaster of emotions you all have been on over the past two years, but Praise God, He has healed Serenity! I am so thankful for this happy outcome! Thank you for sharing your story – you have had a huge impact on my life and you have helped me to not take anything, or anyone, in my life for granted. God bless you all!

  5. Congratulations!! What an exciting day. My daughter, Kaidan, also had leukemia. She completed treatment last November. Again…congratulations!!
